Safety

The Woodside Elementary School District is dedicated to providing a safe educational environment for all students, staff, parents, and visitors to the campus.  In order to achieve this, the Woodside School Emergency Plan has been revised to address all potential situations that could occur. In addition, all local, state, and federal guidelines and requirements have also been met for the safety of our students.

The Safety Committee diligently recommended enhancements to our program.  Last years near flood reminded us of the work that needs to be done to ensure the safety of our students.  This Fall we will be implementing ALERT NOW a rapid communication service, designed specifically for the K-12 community delivering voice, e-mail, and emergency messages at a rate up to 2.5 million per hour quickly keeping parents and staff informed on important and time-sensitive information.  In addition to delivering routine messaging, AlertNow is a critical component to every crisis plan, ensuring accurate information is communicated immediately in the event of a lockdown, relocation, evacuation, or other emergency situation.

The Safety Committee is dedicated to help protect all Woodside School students.  Please see the below dates and times for all Safety Committee meetings.
